"When first meeting with a client, I focus on understanding what brings you into therapy..."

I listen without judgement, I ask questions for understanding, and I watch for patterns that maybe unknown to you. We will then begin to work towards strategies that can lessen your stress and unwanted emotions. My approach is tailored to you, so you may have the highest benefit in therapy.

"...Considering all parts of the mind, body and inner person."

I take a holistic approach toward working with clients, considering all parts of the mind, body and inner person. When working with clients, I strive to be supportive and encourage empowerment through warmth and collaboration. My focus is aimed to facilitate a greater understanding of yourself and your relationships — working with clients to gain insight. Whether working with individuals or couples, I offer techniques for deeper connection and improving communication, tailoring work to each client’s specific goals. My experience entails working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, perfectionism, managing high tech / executive work environments, relationship issues, and communication. I am culturally sensitive, working with clients from various ethnicities and sexual orientations.

I am committed to taking an integrated approach of the whole person in therapy. Individuals and couples are unlike any other client. My approach takes into consideration your values, experiences, cultural identity, and all factors that make you, you. I draw from a number of theories and models to tailor my techniques and interventions to the client. Every client is unique, therefore my approach to you will be unique. My overarching models are Mindfulness based work, Existential theory, Multicultural work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Social Justice.
